This past month I have been working on a dragon and I have finally finished. The pattern is very well written and clear with many different options for making it your own.
The pattern is Dragon by Crafty Intentions. I also used the add on for the Epic Extra Large Wings.
I used 3 balls of colour 827 and 2 balls of colour 803 of the Scheepjes Stone Washed with a 2.25mm hook. Stone washed is fantastic for amigurumi as it gives a nice firm fabric and is easy to crochet with. I also stuffed him with wool, I much prefer wool stuffing as it lasts longer than polyfill and I use less.
Here are a couple of progress shots of him.
He is fully posable because he has wire armature from the tip of is tail right up to his nose and his wings are wired as well for both support and posability. I bought my wire armature from Art Time in Ipswich.
I have already started another one but this time i am using River Washed XL with a 3.25mm hook for a bigger dragon. Stay tuned in the new year for him.
We would love to see your projects, just head on over to instagram and hashtag #3girlsyarn.
Happy Creating.
